Essam Abdallah Abdelwehab Elshiekh Omar, born on February 10, 1971, is a highly skilled and experienced Egyptian oncologic surgeon specializing in surgical oncology. With an extensive academic background and more than two decades of practical experience in the field, he has established himself as an expert in cancer surgery, medical education, and clinical research. Dr. Elshiekh Omar completed his Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBCH) in December 1995 from the prestigious Kasr El Aini Medical School at Cairo University. His pursuit of further specialization led him to achieve a Diploma in Family Medicine in 1999 from Maastricht School of Management, Netherlands. Over the years, Dr. Hemalatha has trained extensively in advanced techniques like Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence, which are essential for precise diagnostics in pathology. She has also been trained in ISO standards like NABL-ISO 15189 and NABH 5th Edition, reinforcing her commitment to quality in medical services.

In addition to her role as an educator and clinician, Dr. Hemalatha has contributed to medical research, publishing over 40 research papers in peer-reviewed journals. She has also guided more than 15 research projects, dissertations, and theses for medical students. She regularly participates in national and international conferences, where she has presented her work, earning accolades such as the Second Prize for her oral paper presentations at prestigious events like the Karnataka Chapter of the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists (KCIAPM) Annual Conference and the International CME in Pathology, Histopathology, and Cytopathology at Goa Medical College. Notably, she was awarded the "Best Blood Bank Officer" award by the Kolar District Health and Family Welfare Department in 2020, in recognition of her outstanding service in blood bank management at RL Jalappa Hospital and Research Centre, Kolar.
