Biography:

Dr. Stefan Bittmann, born in 1968, is a German pediatrician. He is the father of two children. He graduated from the Gymnasium Paulinum in Münster. He studied medicine from 1989 to 1996 at the Universities of Münster, at the Rudolphina in Vienna during a year of study abroad, and at the Ludwig-Maximilian University left of the Isar in Munich. Student internships during medical studies several times in Switzerland as well as in the USA. He completed his medical studies in 1996 with the 3rd state examination in Munich. He received his doctorate with the topic of biliary atresia in childhood at the Pediatric Surgical Clinic of the Hauner Children's Hospital of the LMU Munich under Professor Dr. Kellnar. He received his full medical license at the University of Munich in 1998 and his doctorate in medicine in 1999. Initially, Bittmann worked as an intern at the Pediatric Surgery Clinic of the Hauner Children's Hospital in Munich. He received his first research assistant position in 1999 in the Pediatric Surgery Department of the Clinic for Surgery I under the then head of the clinic, Professor Margreiter, and Professor Menardi for the area of pediatric surgery. Later further pediatric surgical training in Oberhausen under Professor Pieper.  

Following this further training phase, he moved to Switzerland to further his own development at the University Children's Hospital of the University of Zurich, initially under Professor Urs Stauffer, and later under Professor Martin Meuli, who had succeeded Professor Stauffer. Here he became scientifically involved in the laboratory for tissue engineering of Prof. Reichmann, first animal experimental studies as well as the center for severe burn injuries of the Children's Hospital Zurich under Professor Schiestl. Subsequently, he received further training in pediatrics at the Children's Hospital Ahlen under Professor Krüger and completed further training in pediatrics under Professor Längler at the University of Witten-Herdecke. Bittmann completed his residency in pediatrics under Professor E. Harms. He took over the pediatric practice in Gronau (Westf.) in April 2009 and founded the Ped Mind Institute, a research group in the field of clinical research in pediatrics, in 2010. He completed a part-time master's degree program in complementary medicine at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) and graduated in 2013 with the master's thesis on HPV vaccinations and the master's examination in Bad Honnef and received the academic degree of Master of Arts (M.A.). In the further course, set up one of the largest pediatric practices in Westmünsterland and continued clinical research in the Ped Mind Institute. In addition to receiving regular continuing education diplomas from the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians, completion of a university degree in sleep medicine and sleep culture at the Apollon University of Applied Sciences in Bremen in 2019. In his professional career, Bittmann has published approximately 200 scientific publications and books in the field of pediatrics and pediatric surgery (as of 1/25). He was appointed as Visiting Professor in Pediatrics in September 2022 by the Dean of School of Medicine, Shangluo Vocational and Technical College, University of Shangluo, China, where he holds a teaching position.

I am a self-employed Histopathologist practising in New Delhi, India since 1996. I have an M.D.(Pathology) from Panjab University Chandigarh, in 1993 and a Fellowship in Pathology from Indian Medical Association-Academy of Medical Specialities (IMA-AMS) in 2007. I am also a Life member of Indian Medical Association, Delhi Medical Association, Indian Association of Pathology and Microbiology. I have received numerous awards and was an Alternate Member of the governing council of Indian Medical Association in 2013. My subspecialist interest and my thesis is in non-gynae cytology “Cytopuncture- Non aspiration fine needle cytology and it’s comparison with fine needle aspiration cytology” As a subspecialist Cytopathologist, I perform the FNAC in the office and report after adequate processing, correlation with subsequent histopathology and brief clinical history.

Formerly Director of the Department of Surgical Sciences at the University of Udine School of Medicine from 2003 to 2009 and Professor and Chairman of the ENT Clinic at the same University from 1997 to 2013. Jean-Marc SABATIER is a Director of research at the French CNRS, with PhD and HDR degrees in Biochemistry and Microbiology. He headed several academic research teams (CNRS, INSERM and University), as well as a combined academic-industry research laboratory devoted to the engineering of therapeutic peptides (ERT62, Marseilles, France). He was also a Director of Research for several French private companies as well as a Canadian public company. He acts as a Consultant for top pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies. Dr. Sabatier works in the field of animal toxins. He so far contributed to several books in toxinology and virology, and more than 160 scientific articles, 180 communications, and 53 patents in both biology and chemistry. Giuseppe Lanza currently works as a Senior Academic Researcher at the University of Catania (Italy). After graduation with honors in Medicine, he trained at the School of Neurology and got an international Ph.D. at the same University. In 2013 I was selected for a Scientific Fellowship promoted by the European Federation of Neurological Societies (EFNS). From 2013 to October 2018, I worked as a Consultant Neurologist at the “Oasi Research Institute–IRCCS” in Troina (Italy), which is a Collaborating Center of the World Health Organization (WHO). From 2015 to October 2018, I taught Neurology at the University of Enna (Italy). I have authored more than 120 publications in internationally-indexed peer-reviewed Journals and Conferences or Meetings, and I currently serve as Editor and invited Reviewer of several international Journals. More recently, I have obtained the Master of Science (Level I) in Clinical Research and the National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor.

Vinay Kumar holds a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, India, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India.

Prior to joining at Pennsylvania State University Hershey Medical Center, I held the position of Research Scientist at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I engage in comprehensive investigations of dysregulated innate and adaptive immunological networks and their role in influencing the pathogenesis of myocardial infarction (MI) and chronic heart failure (HF). My particular focus lies on elucidating the role of T-cell subsets and the temporal dynamics of their phenotypic alterations in the context of chronic heart failure (HF). Furthermore, I possess a keen interest in the identification and development of innovative approaches aimed at reversing pathogenic alterations in immune cells, with the ultimate goal of facilitating their successful translation from experimental settings to clinical applications.

The combination of my educational background in physiology, immunology, and molecular biology provides me with distinct viewpoints that are valuable for investigating heart failure and devising immune-based treatment approaches that are grounded in mechanisms and can be applied in clinical settings.

Sriram Seshadri, PhD is a trained Endocrinologist having expertise in Metabolic Disorder, Cancer and Gut Microflora. He has been teaching courses like Endocrinology, Toxicology, Reproductive Physiology and Vaccinology with deep interest in Immunology. He has obtained his Masters from Sardar Patel University with specialization in Endocrinology and Doctorate from University of Rajasthan in the field of Male Reproductive Physiology. He has got more than 14 years of teaching experience both at undergraduate and post graduate levels, teaching, BTech, BSc. and MSc courses. Currently, his broad area of research interest includes, gut dysbiosis, diabetes and liver inflammation and cancer biology, specially liver, gastrointestinal and colon cancer. His specialized research area includes, understanding the role of gut microbiota in diabetes/metabolic disorder and Insulin Resistance and inflammation and its modulation for the treatment as well as prevention of Metabolic disorder and cancer. He has published more than 60 publications in journals with high repute which includes, 3 Nature Scientific Reports papers, 5-6 in Bentham Publishing group. He has guided 6 PhD and more than 85 MSc and 6 BTech students for their Dissertation Projects. Currently, 4 PhD students are working under his guidance. His research is supported by DST, Govt. of India and GSBTM and GUJCOST, Govt. of Gujarat. He is also one of the Co-investigator in DST sponsored National Facility Grant under DPRP scheme worth Rs 5.00 crores. Dr. Karim Meskouri, Professor of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at CHU Mustapha, Algiers, is a highly accomplished and dedicated medical professional with extensive expertise in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery. Dr. Karim Meskouri has led the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at CHU Mustapha since January 2023 and became the permanent Head of the Department in July 2024, following a distinguished career marked by numerous achievements in both clinical and educational domains.

Dr. Karim Meskouri,earned their Scientific Baccalaureate with honors in 1990, followed by medical studies at the Faculty of Medicine in Blida, where they graduated at the top of the class in 1997. After completing a residency in Cardiovascular Surgery (1998-2004), Dr. Karim Meskouri obtained the Diploma of Specialized Medical Studies (DEMS) in Cardiovascular Surgery in 2004. They went on to serve as a Thoracic Surgeon at CHU Mustapha, specializing in the surgical management of complex thoracic and cardiovascular conditions. Dr. Karim Meskouri, later achieved a Doctorate in Medical Sciences in 2016 and became a Professor in Thoracic Surgery in 2023, with a top-of-the-class distinction.

Throughout their career, Dr. Karim Meskourihas honed expertise in a wide range of surgical interventions, including surgery for bronchial cancers, pulmonary pathologies, mediastinal pathologies, vascular bypass surgery, arteriovenous fistulas in hemodialysis patients, varicose veins of the lower limbs, and pediatric thoracic surgery. Their contributions to renal transplantation have been particularly noteworthy, having played a key role in the re-launch of renal transplantation in Algeria, including the training of multi-organ procurement teams and performing living donor organ procurements since 2008.

Dr. Karim Meskouri's dedication to surgical excellence extends to their teaching and educational leadership roles. Since 2013, they have served as the Head of Residents in the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery and have been actively involved in training both thoracic surgery and general surgery residents. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nazli Ece Ordueri is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of Histology and Embryology. She holds a PhD from Akdeniz University, where her doctoral research focused on the regulation of blood-testis barrier signaling pathways. Currently, she serves as the Head of the Histology and Embryology Department at Biruni University, Istanbul, Turkey. In addition to her academic role, Dr. Ordueri is the Head of Clinical Embryology at the Institute of Health Sciences and an Erasmus Coordinator at the Medical School.

Her research expertise spans reproductive biology, histology, and embryology, with a focus on male reproductive health, cellular biology, and embryonic development. Dr. Ordueri has made significant contributions to the understanding of spermatogenesis and the mechanisms involved in fertility, particularly through her work on poly (ADP-ribose) polymerases (PARP) and the blood-testis barrier. Her extensive academic career also includes postdoctoral fellowships at prestigious institutions such as Rockefeller University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where she specialized in microfluidic chip design for cell culture and biological modeling.

Dr. G.V. Padmaja is an esteemed professional in the field of medical microbiology, with a distinguished career spanning several decades. Currently serving as a professor at Kakatiya Medical College, Warangal, Dr. Padmaja has made substantial contributions to medical education, healthcare services, and research.

Dr. Padmaja began her administrative career as a Drawing and Disbursing Officer at the Station Ghanpur PHC, where she was instrumental in managing financial operations. She later took on a leadership role as a Camp Officer overseeing family planning operations and other national health programs, including the Pulse Polio Program. In her capacity as the Incharge Medical Officer for the Janmabhumi Program at Kamalapur PHC, she further demonstrated her ability to manage community health initiatives.

Her administrative expertise also extended to the field of education. Dr. Padmaja served as the Secretary and Correspondent for a Paramedical Institute under an NGO, providing training to rural students from economically backward and weaker sections. Additionally, she managed responsibilities as a Ladies Hostel Warden at Kakatiya Medical College from 2016 to 2018.

In the realm of healthcare, Dr. Padmaja has contributed significantly to diagnostics and laboratory work at MGM Hospital, Warangal. She also held the position of Incharge of the HIV/AIDS state reference laboratory, NABL Accredited, where she worked towards enhancing diagnostic capabilities. Furthermore, Dr. Padmaja has served as the Lab Director for the viral load laboratory at MGM Hospital and as the Member Secretary for Hospital Infection Control Committees (HICC) at both MGM/KMC Warangal and Osmania General Hospital, Hyderabad.

He completed his undergraduate studies in chemistry with a specialization in organic chemistry between 1990 and 1995. Following this, he earned a Master’s degree in "Chemistry of Heterocycles" in 1996. His academic journey culminated in a Ph.D. in 2000, followed by his habilitation in 2015, both from the same prestigious institution.

Professor Birsa's career at "Al. I. Cuza" University began in 1996, where he held various academic positions. Initially serving as a preparator, he advanced to assistant, lecturer, and associate professor before becoming a full professor in the Department of Chemistry in 2015. Since 2008, he has also held the role of Head of the Chemistry Department at the university.
